Even if it be a move that is more psychological - tis all fine so that my mind does not have to reside here in the physical world. It has been a crushing two weeks kids...and I am ready to bolt for the door.

I thought that Techie quasi-computer type geeks did alot of sitting around? I always assumed that IT people generally sat behind their safe haven of computer terminals...happily plogging away at the keyboard, whilst appearing to be studious and terribly intelligent. I was wrong, wrong, wrong. I move around more in this IT job, than I did chasing my two year old around the house (and trust me, 2 year old boys can MOVE). It seems that the minute that I turn the handle to enter the building where I work - there are deluges of people coming at me.

Their faces are painfully contorted in horror, spouting "OMG, why won't my printer work?" and "There is this weird screen on my monitor, could you look at it?". The worst one of all - "I told the computer to print my thesis like 25 times - but it never came out! What happened?" At this point I usually casually walk to the other side of the building to where our hideously expensive colour printer is housed...only to find 25 copies of a 25 page document. Sigh. What happened to the day where we actually read something before we just said "GO ahead...do it!" And thus - I am planning my move to Mars. Boxes would be appreciated, and fellow travellers are welcome!

It's Hump Day kids - so Bellini night is getting closer! Only I think this week it might be Tequila shots instead.
